For absolute beginners, returning dancers, or those gently returning after injury or illness. Learn basic positions and simple movements in a supportive, slower-paced class. *Beginner Ballet*
For dancers with more than 6 months of ballet experience or moving on from Introduction. Build fundamental technique, strength, and coordination through barre and simple centre work. *Ballet Elementary*
For dancers with a solid grasp of basic technique and positions. Develop strength, control, and confidence while learning technical steps, performance skills, and musicality.
*Ballet Intermediate*
For dancers with at least 3 years of ballet training and strong technical foundations. Explore more complex combinations, travelling and technical steps, focusing on artistry, performance, and classical lines.
*Ballet Advanced*
For experienced dancers (usually 5+ years) with strong technical foundations. Focus on advanced enchaînements, strengthening of adage, and exercises to refine artistry, coordination, and classical presentation. *Point* Dancers may progress to pointe work once they have demonstrated the required strength and technique and have received teacher approval. Pointe shoes are not worn in any class without this approval. Please note: Bookings are required for all adult ballet classes. We only accept bookings one week in advance of your selected class and we cannot accommodate reservations made earlier than that.

Teacher: Mrs Fusako Skelton:
Fusako began her classical ballet training in Japan.At the age of 16 she was accepted toThe Bolshoi Ballet Acadamey (МГАХ) in Moscow Russia. Graduating with a diploma of dance and achieving the highest possible rating of 5 star excellence.
Professional Career:Fusako started her professional career with K-Ballet company in Tokyo, Japan. Fusako quickly gained the opportunity to perform soloist roles in ballets such as Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Coppelia and Don Quixote to name just a few. During her time dancing in Europe Fusako was invited to perform as the Prima Ballerina in London with the Vienna Festival Ballet company in their production of Swan Lake and The Sleeping Beauty.
Teaching Credentials:
Fusako commenced her role as a guest teacher for ballet schools in Japan in 2006. After choosing Australia as her residence alongside her husband, fellow ballet professional David Skelton, they established roots, and it was there that Fusako began imparting the art of classical ballet to students spanning from 3-year-olds to individuals in their 80s.
Following their time in Perth and Canberra, Fusako and David found their forever home on the Gold Coast, where Fusako turned her dream of establishing her own Ballet School in Robina into reality.
During her stay in Canberra, Fusako choreographed ballets for the National Capital Ballet School and occasionally returns as a guest teacher for the Canberra Dance Theatre. She also makes regular trips to Japan to lead Ballet classes and private coaching.
With over 15 years of international teaching experience, Fusako has a unique passion and skill for teaching adults. Making ballet accessible and enjoyable for adults of all skill levels has become a cornerstone of her teaching philosophy, as Fusako believes in creating an inclusive and welcoming space for everyone to embrace the joy of ballet.
